​Our mission is to bring a Bit of Sunshine into the lives of the at risk youth and their caregivers in our community ​through giving gifts of clothing, toys, books, and personal items throughout year. The joy for us is always in the giving.​

The financial and emotional strain of a split family has effects that can never be fully measured. A generously fostered home and its inhabitants should be honored and supported, and our organization works to ensure that the love is spread as much as possible when times are tight. Although we cannot solve all problems, we can help remind people that they are important, not alone, and that others truly care. If we can just bring a smile to their face or a moment of joy to their day, our job is done.

This originally started in 2007 with the idea that no child should go through the holidays without gifts when they are too young to understand why they have been left behind. What the children need and want is our utmost priority. We give more than toys. We give gifts of books, clothes, and personal items as well. Some children want Barbies or Monster Trucks. Some need snow boots to walk to the bus each morning. Many selfless adult members of the families make no request. They inspire us to give baskets of love and support. We fill these baskets with much-needed household items and holiday surprises.
We believe in magic. The beauty and generosity of the human spirit never fails to amaze us. We don't personally know these people and in most cases, never will. We work anonymously through an intermediary such as a child advocate or a local school counselor. 

​While we started this as a Christmas project, our goal is to provide our support services year-round. We need your help to make this a reality. Every donation is one step closer to making these families' wishes come true.
